Agile Office Interior Design and Space Planning
At Flexible we take the time to understand your organisation, how you work along with your challenges and opportunities. We use this knowledge to plan and design spaces that support your workflows, accommodate the working styles of your colleagues, and optimise wellbeing.
The sections below provide an overview of the different types of activity based office spaces we create to maximise productivity and colleague engagement.
Breakout Areas

Breakout spaces are a key feature of the Agile Office. They are generally used for a short period of time and provide spaces where, for example, a conference ends, but three people need to get together to discuss a subtask, or a colleague needs to share some ideas on their laptop for 10 minutes.
Speak to us and learn how we can help you plan how many of these areas you need, where to locate them and how to configure them. We've a wealth of experience in making these spaces really work for you.
Collaborative Spaces

As well as relatively formal meeting spaces such as conference rooms and executive offices, informal collaborative spaces have an equally important place in today’s rapidly changing office environment.

Conference and Meeting Rooms
Desk and Work Zones
Dining Areas and Canteens

Conference and meeting rooms have an important role to play is enabling the successful implementation of hybrid working initiatives. As well as being used for traditional board and client meetings, they provide a vital space to accommodate departmental and project team events when remote working is the norm.
Engage with us to find out how we are the ideal partner to create spaces that have the flexibility to host all of your requirements.

Whilst there is still a requirement for the humble desk, generational and lifestyle factors are changing the number and types of desk required to facilitate focus work.
Reach out to us to discuss how we can provide you with practical and innovative options that blend traditional desks, height adjustable desks, social benches and bar style workstation solutions tailored to your business needs.

These spaces are no longer seen as purely a place for staff to refuel during a lunch hour. Designed well, they can be versatile settings for impromptu meetings and casual communication.
Get in touch to benefit from our experience of creating areas where hierarchies are less evident and ideas and creativity are allowed to flow more freely. Our designs for these areas also include innovative, practical and impactful solutions for Tea Points and kitchens too.
Executive Offices
Home Offices

In many instances, the emerging hybrid model involves many of the leadership team working from the office for much of their time. Where this is the case, the requirement for executive offices is unlikely to disappear.
Creating the desired statement these spaces make can be far from straightforward. However, given we have access to thousands of furniture and fittings options, we are sure we'll find one that fits perfectly.

It has been recognised for some time now that providing employees who spend a significant percentage of their time working from home with decent tools makes sense from a wellbeing and productivity perspective.
The range of products for the home office has exploded. As well as desk and chair options, we’ve discovered some great space saving solutions that help us create spaces that inspire and ensure productivity.
Quiet Zones
Reception Areas
Resource Hubs

Another niche which has developed rapidly in recent years covers pods and booths. Again, the variety and range of options is huge.
Talk to us and we'll help you choose the right combination of units. For example, meeting pods are great for short, tightly focussed meetings and individual pods provide a comfortable, quiet alternative to desks. Where privacy is key, soundproof individual booths are ideal for important calls and soundproof meeting booths are perfect when sensitive matters are on the agenda.

First impressions count! This is as true now as it ever was, and the amount of time we spend on reception designs, to ensure these spaces do and say what clients want then to, is often much greater than other spaces we collaborate on.
Contact us to learn how our extensive global network of partners enable us to supply a huge range of components from prestige counters to finishing touches like biophilic panels, plants and murals. This extensive reach gives us a the edge in creating impactful spaces which convey the impression you require.

Whilst the reduction in the number of hard copy documents we use has, in the main, declined, the need to print, scan, and copy is still very much with us. Additionally, an emphasis on sustainability and recycling means consideration needs to be given as to how resource hubs accommodate print, post, and recycling requirements.
Speak to us and we can advise on where to locate these hubs to avoid disruption, how to configure them and selecting the right materials that meet the needs of today's bio-security conscious workplaces.
Social Spaces

It used to be the norm that the ratio of shared space to to private space was around 20:80. As open-plan office concept emerged, this slowly changed to around 30:70. Today, reports estimate that the ratio has dramatically changed to at least 50:50, and in highly collaborative environments, the ratios are often reversed to 70:30.
Get in touch to discuss how we can help you harness the generational and lifestyle changes to create spaces that boost colleague engagement.
Storage Hubs

The adoption of the hybrid working and agile office models has a significant impact on storage needs. Our deep knowledge of this area enables us to craft solutions which incorporate lockers, media walls, storage walls and traditional freestanding storage units such as pedestals and filing cabinets.
